Discovering Vector Graphics with Fireworks

Since last week i got a new toy! Adobe Fireworks and its Pen Tool. I always loved Photoshop and all the amazing things you could do with 2-D Graphic manipulation.. but in the end.. you realize that if u don’t have any material(pictures, ideas, brushes, gradients, ideas and ideas) you cant do any great things in Photoshop. Creating something *good* from scratch is something you can be proud of. I started experimenting with Adobe Fireworks and drawing and tracing things with its tools. and I’m going to share my first *complete* Illustration just below.

Good things about Vectors

Its all Paths and Math

The level of quality that can be achieved is absolutely mind blowing! You can keep on zooming and zooming! the quality will seemingly get better! That’s the magic of vector graphics. Its all just paths and mathematical equations, not pixels at specific coordinates

Ease of changing colors

In 30 seconds, its possible to manually modify all the colors of the drawing and give it a whole new “identity”

Well… its going to take some time before i finish this one.. I hope its going to be even better than the previous naruto one.

I uploaded this photo on facebook some days ago. And some people(especially Man UTD fans are somehow *hurt* that i dressed up Naruto in LFC jersey and they left *bad* comments. I would like to tell them that i worked hard on this. Took me five hours + 1 whole day of eye-pain. If they don’t like that Naruto is dressed up in LFC jersey THEN GO DRAW IT YOURSELF IN MANUTD JERSEY!

This is about Design and Passion. not Football rivalry.
