UEFA Champions League Final 2009

Manchester United and Barcelona have made it to the final stage of the most prestigious award in Europe. Rome will be the venue of this final clash between the giants. Most football fans expected these two teams to reach the finals. and now we have the Dream Finale we’ve always wanted.

What should i say? Trashing of the gunners? Clearly arsenal didn’t deserve to be in the final four.

Barcelona

Quite convincingly the French champions were no match for the Spaniards

Barcelona knocked Bayern Munich quite easily just after their 12-1 Aggregate win in the 1/8 Finals. A Huge blow for Ribery and Co LTD who are still in the Top Scorers and Top assists though

Frank Lampard almost cried when Xavi netted the only shot on target for Barca in the 2nd leg at the 93rd minute of the match. Barcelona goes through on Away-Goals rule. Very unfair according to most humans who watch football. But I’m still glad that Chelsea is out. I’m fed up of UTD v CFC matches

Brief Stats

Both team are attack minded but United seems to have an advantage in defense. From all the stats of UEFA C1 09, United are the defending champions and Barcelona is the attacking dream team .

Lionelle Messi is the current Top Scorer. Ronaldo and Rooney have 4 goals each.

Darren Fletcher and Abidal will both miss the Rome meeting sadly due to 1 match suspension

Sorry for not blogging since so long. I’m finally back.

I still do not know which team will support tomorrow night(27 May 09). I bet you know yours! It is going to be the dream final i always wanted to see before i die! And i am just rightly served. This might be the last match of Carlos Tevez as a red devil. Best of Luck to both teams! May this match be a classic.
